Hi, I'm Grace, a 32 year-old house-sitter/nanny/circular economy enthusiast from Scotland. I have undertaken many previous pet/house-sitting roles and grew up with a variety of different family pets; cats, rabbits, chickens, guinea pigs, budgies, hamsters, fish.

I came to Melbourne in October 2024 and have undertaken ten house-sits since then. All of these sits were for cats and they had a variety of personalities; for example Nash shy yet cuddly, Mimi independent and driven by her belly, Percy a gorgeous, pampered prince, Tony a very chatty playmate, Kipper a laid back cutie, Piper the brush loving snoozer. These sits involved me caring for the cats and providing food, as instructed, as well as making sure water was provided, any required medication administered and litter trays kept clean. I also watered plants, emptied bins and kept properties clean and tidy. I have really enjoyed the cats keeping me company and exploring different parts of Melbourne.

I have previously been a house-sitter in Australia, Scotland and The Netherlands. I was a regular pet-sitter for a ginger cat named Spot in Scotland. Spot was a pampered wee darling who was a delight to look after. He loved getting petted and playing with his toys - especially the catnip sushi! He's an older gent, but I made sure to get his exercise in with running up and down the hall after the laser pen. If Spot had his way, he'd be fed 24/7 but, unfortunately for him, his owner left me his actual feeding schedule which I was diligent to follow. Last year, my sister, niece and I finished up a year of travelling by house-sitting in Edinburgh in June. We spent 5 days caring for 2 very cute bunnies: Theo and Freyja and had a weekend with an older lady cat, Sophie. We then went to The Netherlands in September for a month with 2 cats: Mister and Woodie, and a pond's worth of giant koi fish. I had a great time at all of my previous sits and enjoyed getting to know all the wee quirks of the different animals.

I grew up in the countryside/Scottish islands and am familiar with farm animals and willing to learn to what needs done for looking after any species. I am a clean, tidy and responsible house guest and a non-smoker. I am always mindful of protecting and maintaining other's homes when house-sitting.

I've had some sits for the start of the year, have others booked in and am looking to fill the rest of my calendar.
