Hi, I'm Liz and I live in New Zealand. I'm mostly retired after working for many years for the University of Otago as a Research Nurse. I still enjoy doing some casual work as required.
I love animals, especially dogs, and had the pleasure of being the devoted owner of a wonderful spaniel , Molly, who lived until the ripe old age of 17. She was a very energetic, fun and loving companion.
When my children were growing up we had a family cat, Magic, guinea pigs and mice, and Molly the dog, although I have to say that cats and mice in a house don't mix well.
Growing up in England, we had cats, and a beautiful golden retriever, who was my best friend. I love horses and still have the occasional ride.
I keep busy and active, enjoying pilates, tramping, biking, and have recently started line dancing, which is supposed to be good for the memory...
I live on my own now, my partner of 18 years very sadly passed away last year.
My two sons and their families live in Australia, one in Melbourne and one in Geelong, so housesitting would be a good way to stay near to them when I visit.
I love animals, and although I don't currently own any pets I would welcome the opportunity to care for and spend time with other people's loved pets.
I am new to house sitting but can provide good references and consider myself to be a responsible, reliable, careful and caring person.
As mentioned above, I have owned a few pets during my life. Although I haven't done any house sitting yet, I have used Airbnb many times, with good experiences and references.
As part of my nursing duties, I have also cared for patients in their own homes , including live-in jobs, sometimes including pets.
