Due to possible COVID19 border closures with short notice we prefer Queensland based applications for our Sunshine Coast responsibility.. My chatty (and a bit bossy) 14 year old female Tonkinese cat needs company and supervision, during our proposed road trip. Our plan is to leave late August 2021 for approx 6 weeks. I appreciate the very early notice but I like to be organised! We have a small unit in a complex of just 7 units, mostly owner occupied or with absent owners - generally a quiet area, but a bit busier over school holidays, We have a ground level unit with exclusive use courtyard- as well as fronting onto a small common garden area.. The cat tends to miss me when we travel, Our unit has only one bedroom and this assignment would suit single or couple applicants. Secure garaging is not guaranteed- we will attempt to clear space but use of on road parking is more likely. Non smokers only. The location is scenic with a cafe precinct nearby.

Pets & farm animals

If my 14 year old female desexed Tonkinese cat deigns to give you respite from her demands there is much to enjoy at our location. Nah only joking ?? she can be a diva and tough negotiator but her needs are simple really. She has pet door access to a private courtyard and also a front garden, however prefers to toilet inside or sometimes in the garden on common area. <br />The cat sitter is strongly urged to invest in bonding with the cat in the first couple days or so to reduce her urge to go looking for me - which can worry a pet sitter. Just respond to her chat working through a checklist to ascertain her need, grooming is her currency (she LOVES being groomed) and chin rubs etc, - cat lovers would understand! She is a big personality for a little cat, but wins over everyone with her individuality. The Cat is the reason for this posting so applicants must accept a cat sleeping on the (king) bed and on the couch and cat fur on clothing and given the Spring time of year some fur shedding of the Winter undercoat would be expected. It is what it is. I have a high tolerance to cat fur after 14 years of cat ownership.

House Tasks

Nothing exceptional required, if letterbox is overflowing then emptying it would be appreciated, if pot plants or garden is dry then a bit of hose watering would be good. Be cheerful to our neighbors, introduce yourself as a courtesy. The main responsibility is The Cat. Leave the unit as you found it on arrival.
