Hi there,
We are looking for a trustworthy sitter to care for our home, two dogs and 5 chooks (all very low maintenance/easy to care for) for 10 days in June/July. Our home is in the tidy, quiet town of Bacchus Marsh, North West of Melbourne on the foothills of the beautiful Lerderderg State park. Our home is a 10 minute walk from the train station and you can get to the city by train in about 40 mins. Our home is also walking distance to shops, gyms, cafe's, restaurants, a pool, the Werribee river and many beautiful walks.
Our dogs are Casper (9 year old mini Schnauzer) and Missy (6 year old greyhound). They are both very well behaved and cuddly. They are also very low maintenance (lazy).
We wouldn't require much of a sitter, just to make sure our home is safe and generally clean, and the animals are happy. Walking the dogs every couple of days would be much appreciated. But if this is an issue, I can hire a walker. Otherwise they are very content just lying around inside or outside. The chickens pretty much take care of themselves ( the feed trough and the coop are on timers - open and close automatically). All we would ask is that you check their water every couple of days and collect their eggs (for you to enjoy of course).
We have a big garden, so if you're a green thumb you would be more than welcome to enjoy it. But if not, no gardening is required.
