We are an older couple looking to do our dream overseas trip. We will be away for March and April 2024. We have a comfortable 2 story, 4 bedroom home with a setup for working from home. Upstairs air conditioner and central gas heating. All amenities bills are covered while we are away. We have an elderly small dog, Yoda, who needs someone to stay with her while we are away. She is friendly, likes company, uses a dog door to get outside, is not a fussy eater and generally likes short walks and long sleeps. She is an inside dog, and likes to sleep on our bed. She is in good health although has only one eye which means she doesn’t see as well as she used to, and is a little deaf.
Other than looking after Yoda there is only watering of the garden and lawn mowing. One of our sons lives close by and can liaise with you during your stay should you need any assistance.
We have a closed back yard and porch area. We have a flat roof carport and access from this to the backyard. If you have a van we would need to check that it can be accommodated. We live in the Latrobe Valley, in Moe. There are excellent facilities in town and if you enjoy sightseeing there is plenty to see and do in Gippsland. Yoda is used to being left overnight occasionally when we head to Melbourne for an overnight stay. Trains run around every hour to Melbourne. If you feel you would like to be our house sitters or have any further queries don’t hesitate to contact us.

Pets & farm animals

Small elderly one eyed dog. In good health. An in house dog. Quiet and easy to look after.

House Tasks

Collect mail and papers. Water pot plants and garden if needed. Mow lawns.
