We are preferably looking for a single female, but will consider couples and single men to look after our house in Murwillumbah too. It is just about getting the right person or people that is a fit for our cat. No other pets please - the cat gets too stressed with other cats and dogs because he has lived as a single cat indoors for his whole life. He is a large cat - he is a senior and loves a calm, quiet, caring person. He loves to lean on you and sleep by your side, but he is not a lap cat and does not like being picked up often. He smooches on his terms and hates to get stressed out. He is very low maintenance and lives indoors 100% of the time. We have a view over the cane fields to Mt Cougal from our deck. We have a large kitchen, living room, reading nooks, home office and we have an extensive library. We have a home office with wifi included, so you can work from home here no problem. Our garden is maintained monthly already with a private mowing company. We are close to the centre of town and it is an easy walk to locations such as Murwillumbah Arts Precinct, Regent Cinema, plenty of restaurants and cafes, the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, and Tweed Regional Gallery. We're about half an hour to Byron Bay, Mullumbimby, Kingscliff, Tweed Heads and a little further to the Gold Coast. Brisbane is just over an hour away by car. (Use of our car negotiable, but there is also room for you to park your own.) We have fans and heaters, but no air conditioning. Access is a little steep with stairs and the shower is in a bath, so if you are limited in mobility, this may not be the house for you!

House Tasks

Collect mail from PO Box in town occasionally. Empty litter tray, feed cat. Water plants on deck. Feed fish in filtered tank.
