Looking for an experienced dog & house sitter for approximately 10 days mid/late September. We are located on a tranquil two hectares on the NSW far south coast near Congo/Bingie, 12 km from Moruya. This is the perfect housesit for someone who wants to read, write, paint or commune with nature.

Truffle is a 5 yo Golden Retriever. She is an indoor dog and easy care girl at home but does like company. So I am after a house sitter who is genuinely happy to/wants to be home most of the day (eg do not leave her from more than 4 hours/half day) and always home at night. Truffle goes to doggy day care (8am-4pm) 2 X a week so those are great days to go off venturing. She is a great traveller and there are dog friendly cafes/destinations/beaches nearby for extra outings and exercise.

Ideally our house sitter would be experienced with rural life because we have cattle and horses next door, wildlife, insects, dam, water pumps, etc- all the joys of country life!. I also have 9 chickens (easy care), a large vegetable garden, a glasshouse & covered plant houses X 2 (some watering required but mostly just checking of the irrigation watering system).

We have just finished building a strawbale house that we are in the process of moving into. For this house sit the accommodation on offer is right next to the new house and is in our current little cottage. It can accommodate 1 person or a couple, is super homely and completely fitted out, snug but light and you do not need to worry about muddy pawprints (concrete floor with old carpet) and can make it your own space. Everyone thinks it is a bit cute inside.
