Hi we are Lynn & Tony & live on acreage about 10 mins north of Rockhampton. We have 2 Dogs who are well behaved, love attention & a daily walk around our block & 2 Cats that are quite timid but warm up when they realise who is feeding them.
Our house is low set brick, lovely views & very comfortable. As our gardens are a work in progress we do have some dirt around & dust as we are semi- rural. Plenty of room for caravans etc.
We have used housesitters previously & find it settles the animals much better while we are away.

Pets & farm animals

Our home is low set brick & very comfortable with lovely rural views over paddocks & is very quiet & peaceful. We don't have farm animals but do have 4 much loved animals, 2 rescue dogs about 6 to 7yrs old & 2 rescue cats Mum (Topaz 7 yrs) & daughter (Sitka 6 yrs old). Our dogs Buddy & Roxy are inside/outside dogs , prefer being inside if we are home but always outside when we go out. They love attention, company & people but are fine left alone too, 5 to 6 hrs during the day, just not every day for that long. We walk them off lead most days around our block & they are very good at reminding us it’s time. Both very well behaved, always come when called & well mannered …mostly. Usually very quiet & lay around unless we show signs of going outside etc. Buddy is scared when it comes to loud noises, ie thunder but will hide in office under desk or if outside in garage. Both cats are quiet & friendly but will be timid to strangers at first until they realise they are feeding them. Both inside/outside cats usually locked in at night.
We have plenty of room for caravans etc, usually we prefer house sitters to stay in house but this is optional. As our garden & landscaping are ongoing (slowly) & a work in progress there is some dirt area & dust as we are semi- rural. Just want to be upfront & say our gardens & yard are not pristine…yet but will be one day. There would be some plants to water & is set up on spray hose. We have a new supermarket about 7 mins away towards town & are 30 mins from Yeppoon & Capricorn coast.
We have used house sitters in the past but unfortunately, they are already booked.

We will be away from March 22nd to April 2nd 2026 . We would prefer if our sitters could be here to stay & meet us the night before if possible.
