About

We have a twenty acre property in the beautiful Mary Valley, about 45 mins from Noosa/Maroochydore and a five minute drive to local shops, IGA, post office, chemist and trail walks. Our blue stone cottage home is absolutely stunning offering two bedrooms, library, lounge, dining, kitchen, laundry, covered outdoor entertainment area with wood fired oven. Our property is totally óff grid' for power and water, we have solar, wind and batteries that keep the household running as any other home on 240v. We would just ask that you would be conservative with our system, i.e. not have every light on in the house or run the washing machine more than once per day. We have wifi, netflix and an air-conditioner in one room which can be run during the day (not night) for those extra hot days. Our home also has a composting toilet, this has no smell nor requires any maintenance from the housesitting.

Pets & farm animals

We have four well mannered dogs, Ned our 10 year old kelpie is the brains of the outfit, who has a lovely time stirring our three Rottweilers, Jackie Brown 9 years, Leroy Brown 6 years and Bobbi Brown 2 years. They all live a tranquil life, playing on the property with each other or happy to play fetch if you are up for it, they also love swims in our dam...life is good. Our dogs are fed once per day at night time and tied up for the evening excluding our big boy Leroy. They also each have a boundary collar, as we don't want them leaving the property alone and getting up to mischief as we are surrounded by cattle country. We also have 3 horses, Jaxx 30 years, Honey 20 years and Cooper 10 years, these three are self sufficient and happy to get a pat, chat and feed in the afternoons. And lastly we have chickens, 4 of these, that give us amazing home grown eggs and don't forget the ducks, that just hang on the dam for most of the day but come in at night for a feed and to be secured in their pen overnight.

House Tasks

Apart from looking after and feeding our animals, we would like the property maintained as required (i.e. lawns mowed, whipper snippering, weeding, house kept clean and tidy)! Collect mail and put bins out for collection once per week.
