We’re looking for someone to house sit and care for our three dogs—Romeo, Ronnie, and Roxy—while we’re away in England for a couple of months. Our home is a traditional Queenslander set on 5 acres of peaceful sugar cane fields. It’s secluded with beautiful views and only 5km from Ayr town centre, where you’ll find shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, a cinema, an RSL, a bowling club, a swimming pool, and great fishing spots along the Burdekin River.

The house is a simple, comfortable, and relaxed three-bedroom farmhouse with lovely original features and a balcony. It’s comfortable, peaceful and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

Our three dogs each have their own personalities:

   •   Romeo (British Bulldog) – Laid-back and loves to snooze all day. Likes a game of tug-of-war.
   •   Ronnie (Rescue Labrador-X) – Rather nervous with new people but likes playing with the hose and sunbathing.
   •   Roxy (Kelpie) – Full of energy and loves to run and play.

They’re happy staying on the property or going for walks—whatever works best for you.

We also have a cottage next door that we occasionally list on Airbnb. If you’re interested in managing it while we’re away, we’d be happy to pay you for that—though it’s completely optional. If you’d prefer not to, we can leave it unoccupied during your stay.

Ideally, we’d love someone who can help maintain the yard, but that’s not a dealbreaker—we can arrange for someone to do the mowing if needed.
