About

We’re looking for a non-smoking house sitter to care for our 2 friendly cats for five weeks, during the snow season. You’ll be in a lovely modern, warm one-level home with 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms & plenty of space (inside & out). It’s surrounded by pine forest, in a quiet part of town.

Myrtleford is a friendly base for adventure & exploration in Victoria’s alpine area - a great town with all the shops, services & cafès you need. The town is surrounded by mountains & rivers, with loads of activities like hiking, paddling, cycling & rock climbing, plus plenty of regional wineries, breweries & eateries. And of course we’re near to snow sports (Mt Hotham & Falls Ck resorts are 90min away; Mt Buffalo, Bogong & Feathertop are also very close).

Pets & farm animals

Our cats - Wallace the big (huge) ginger and Lotte the littler tortoiseshell - are (as you’d expect) pretty self-reliant and have an automated cat door to supplement their human door attendants. They’re friendly but not needy - basically they just want to be fed & watered and get the occasional pat or cuddle.

House Tasks

We just expect the house to be kept clean & tidy - like it is at the start of the house sit.
