About

The property is a lovely 5 acres at Taradale, near Castlemaine and Kyneton, just over an hour from Melbourne.
I have 2 dogs, 2 horses and 1 sheep. It is an enchanting property with 2 dams, a vege garden, and quiet areas to relax. The goldfields region has plenty of places to explore, including historical towns, bush walking trails, farmers markets, restaurants and wineries. The dogs, Jasper and Maddie need a little walk around the property in the am and they love to be played with. With the dry weather we have had I have had to let the vegetable garden fallow as there is not enough water to pump from the dam. The home is tranquil and a good place to come for some rest, reading, handcrafts, meditation and relaxation and sitting by the woodfire. 0

Pets & farm animals

The dogs Jasper and Maddie need a little walk around the property, attention and some play. I have two horses Dreams and Bandit that also like a pat, and some carrots or apples in the morning and some hay pulled from their round bale. In the evening they get some more feed I have mixed up, and some more hay. There is also a hand raised sheep 'Lamb-Baby' who thinks she is a dog/human and is rather assertive. She also gets a handful of sheep pellets for dinner. Some times she likes a bit of a pat and some attention, other times she might ignore new people.

House Tasks

Enjoy relaxing in the countryside. Walk the dogs around the property and feed them bones in am, meat and biscuits at night (around 5pm). The horses like a pat, and some apples in the morning, and some hay. They have a mixed feed in the evening sweetened with some warm molasses and some more hay. And the sheep likes a handful of sheep pellets. The vegetable garden is fallow given our current drought followed by frosts. The main tasks, are feeding and looking after the animals.
