My husband and I are seeking someone/couple to look after our Jack Russell x Chihuahua, Lilly and our home. No gardening required.

Lilly is an easy dog to care for. She just requires some love and attention, a walk and to be fed. She isn't on any medication. She is loving and can be quite affectionate. Lilly can really make us laugh at times and likes a good joke, but is very timid with rough physical play. We adopted her at the age of 2, from Dubbo. She had never been trained. We attended basic training sessions and she's a real gem. She is very quiet, but of course she does not like the postman, bikes, skateboards, and sometimes other dogs.

It would be great if a sitter could either work from home sometimes, or have odd hours or work, or if you work full time, then maybe we can work things out with a dog walker.

We live in a 1950s modest brick, split level home. Three bedrooms (one converted to an office), open plan kitchen/dining/lounge, one bathroom and separate toilet. The Laundry is down stairs, outside including washing machine and dryer. The home is very well equipped and has nice warm heating throughout, bar one bedroom which has a portable heater. We have Wi-Fi, Smart TV including paid Netflix and Binge access. Coffee machine and coffee bean grinder. Coffee beans from Peaberrys supplied.

The house is an easy place to keep clean, so just a general clean would suffice. The front garden will not need attention, it will look after itself. The backyard is older (requires renovations) and has mostly concrete throughout. It's a great parking spot.

Driving in and out of the driveway (from the highway) is easy and your car can be locked securely behind a locked gate.

Our home is located centrally in the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie area. It's an easy walk to 2 major shopping centres. Newcastle city is about 9km from our place and the beaches about 6-7km. There is a great bike track and National Park located about 1km from our home. It's great for walking and bicycle riding.

Our travel dates are 16th July to 3 August. We will leave on the 16th, early in the morning and arrive home on the 3rd approximately 4pm.
