About

Heading away for 2 weeks and would love someone to care for my home and animals whilst I'm away. I have a mid 1960's house that has been partially renovated (still slightly in the process), with 3 bedrooms (1 Queen bed, 1 King Single bed, 1 office), 1 bathroom, separate toilet and 1 off-street parking space. It has a rather large front yard (non-secured due to shared driveway) and small back yard (secured). It is in the East Geelong area, and sits on a divided block (rented town house at the rear of the property - quiet couple that keeps to themselves).

I have 1 dog (Otis, Husky, 11.5 years old) and 1 cat (Bambi, Tabby, 6.5 years old). Both are very relaxed. Bambi isn't a huge fan of other, new animals so "meet and greets" would be essential if other pets involved. She mostly keeps to herself.

Pet needs: Food (morning and night) and occasional on-lead-only walks for Otis, and food/litter tray top ups for Bambi. Both just love company and relaxing. Both are inside/outside pets.

House needs: clean, tidy, respectful. I'd like someone who treats all houses like their own home and enjoys leaving a house as they found it.

Pets & farm animals

Otis: 11.5 YO Male husky. He is a very relaxed and silent boy. He will happily sleep most of the day but does love a walk (on-lead-only). He has kibble of a morning and mince/porridge/kelp powder mix of a night. He can happily sleep outside but has been house-trained his whole life. Preferable he gets most of his time inside whilst someone is home. Can be outside other times/and at night.
Bambi: 6.5 YO Female tabby cat. Bambi is a social cat, that enjoys being near you. She likes pats, but does have her cat wild streak where she might get a bit grumpy (no belly pats!). She'll happily sit on/near you and simply enjoys company. She ventures outside often but rarely goes past the property perimeter or outside for extensive periods of time. Rarely uses litter tray if she has outside access, but litter tray will be clean and likely only require occasional scooping.
Both animals utilise a "home-made doggy door" in that Otis broke a corner of the flyscreen, and it has inevitably worked well for their in/out needs. If door closed, both pets are able to tell you when they want to go in/out.

House Tasks

My house is very low maintenance but it is very much my home. I will complete gardening prior to leaving and it won't need upkeep in the time I'm away (unless you feel so inclined). I am a very neat and tidy person and prior to purchasing my home have only ever treated rented houses like my own home. I would like like-minded people to apply for sitting my home with the requirement I'd like the house to be respected and left as it is found. Preference for a $500 fully refundable bond paid back on my return (for accidental insurance premium purposes) but happy to discuss this! No other fees.
