I'm spending Xmas and New Year in Malaysia, meeting up with friends. Am searching for a trustworthy, caring sitter who will shower my much loved 5 year old Malshi with nurturing. Ted was adopted from Ballarat shelter early in May and is a fairly active, affectionate dog. Very much a companion dog, Ted is easy and playful with people and other dogs. He loves his several daily walks and some playtime in the nearby coastal dog parks. Routine equals feeling secure for Ted, hence my search for house sitters. Our home is a single fronted 2 bed Victorian cottage with updated bathroom/kitchen areas in gorgeous Williamstown, 15 mins across the bridge into Melbourne city, or hop on a small ferry. You can walk 5 mins in any direction from the house to the sea: stunning harbour views, a vibrant cafe scene, wonderful walking/biking tracks and a beach. A proper holiday spot. If you like cheeky, active and cuddly companion dogs, plus the chance to have a break in a delightful location, I'd love to hear from you

Pets & farm animals

Ted is a 5 year old Maltese Shih Tzu cross. A cheeky small dog who likes his routine, and sticks close to his people. He's not a dog to be left alone for whole days, but does fine for 3-4 hours max. Ted walks and runs in the gorgeous coastal paths at the end of my street. Twice a day for about 30 mins each time, and is happy to do longer walks (assuming it's not too hot!). Ted's a cuddler, wants to sit right next to his person on the couch, and is very much a house dog so usually washed every 7-10 days. As is his bedding. Ted is crated at night and sleeps comfortably in his crate where he feels secure. Vet details will be provided.

House Tasks

My only expectations for the house is that the house is clean and maintained. Handed back to me the way I'll leave it. I'm tidy but not fussy. Very simple gardening like watering depending on the weather...
