MORNINGSIDE/HAWTHORNE QLD

My daughter & I are going overseas from Monday 22nd December 2025 to Wednesday 14th January 2026 and are currently seeking a mature house/pet sitter for this period.

We have two beautiful cats (4 years old) called Smokey and Bandit which we will miss dearly so we are seeking a sitter that loves cats and will look after them whilst we are away. All they need is to be kept safe, company, a pat or two and food twice a day.

Our unit is in a secure complex of 6 and is on the border of Morningside/Hawthorne – which we think is a lovely area and is handy to Brisbane. Approx. 8km if you were a keen walker. There is a train station 10min walk and buses close by which takes you directly into the CBD within 20mins. There is a park/AFL ground at the end of our road which is lovely to walk/run around. There are heaps of shops close by including coffee shops/Woolies/Coles/BWS/restaurants etc. Oxford St in Bulimba which is close by also is a must to visit which you will find lots of interesting shops, bars, restaurants, cinema etc.

Our home is on level 1. - 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 1 car. Balcony front and back. One flight of stairs. Fans in lounge and bedrooms. Beautiful breeze comes from back balcony through unit to front balcony.
Enjoy a morning coffee on the back balcony and a cheeky afternoon drink on the front balcony.

Pets & farm animals

2 x 4 year old cats
Feed twice a day
Remove clumping lumps from litter tray daily into bin. Not smelly as we use clumping litter.
