2 level 5 bedroom, 3 bath home on 1acre about 10 minutes drive from Toowoomba city. It’s a work in progress so there are some incomplete bits. The downstairs area is double-glazed which keeps things pretty warm, especially when the gas fire is going. It also means the sliding doors are quite heavy (my mother struggles).

We are looking for a housesitter who will enjoy living in and taking care of our home. The main tasks are just being here, and doing a few weekly tasks to maintain the pool and wastewater system. The gardens will be dormant, but you are welcome to potter if you wish.

We have lots of wildlife, which can include snakes and spiders. We also don’t have any fly/security screens on windows or doors which means we sometimes have visitors inside during the warmer months. This would be very unlikely during this housesit since it is over winter.

We have found from other visitors/sitters that some experience of country living and practical skills is useful.
