Cat & House Sit in Newtown, Geelong – Christmas Holidays

We’re looking for an experienced house sitter in Newtown, Geelong from Sunday 21 December 2025 to Friday 23 January 2026. Ideally, you’ll be a bit of a green thumb and have previous house sitting experience looking after both pets and gardens.

You’ll be caring for our two much-loved (and strictly indoor-only) cats:

Samson (14 years) – a super smoochy, relaxed boy. He has renal insufficiency, so his meals include some added powders for his health.

Rosie (10 years) – shy and nervous at first, but very affectionate and funny once she feels comfortable.

Feeding routine -- As it proved too tricky to separate them with their different diets, their meals are now a blend of half a pack of senior food, half a pack of renal food, a few spoonfuls of tuna, plus Samson’s powders mixed in. They share this together twice a day. It’s a bit of prep, so we’d love someone who is comfortable managing older pets and special diets.

Daily life -- Both cats are happy, low-maintenance companions. They’re content to spend most of the day snoozing in sunny spots, with bursts of play when they feel like a game of chasey.

You’d also be responsible for watering our plants while we’re away. We have a collection of japanese maples, conifers and natives in containers that will need daily watering.

We live in a comfortable two-storey home. The kitchen, living spaces and a powder room are downstairs, with bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs. The neighbourhood is great – down the road from GMHBA Stadium, close to cafés, and just a short walk to the Barwon River.

We’d love the opportunity to meet you beforehand to introduce you to Samson and Rosie, and to make sure it feels like a good fit.
