Hello Happy House Sitters!

I'm looking for a house sitter for my dog Pepper (and my array of house plants) for approx. 8 months from May 2026 while I'm in the UK. There's also the possibility of a shorter sit from Sept 2026 to Jan 2027 as I have someone who may be able to cover the first half.

ABOUT THE HOUSE
My place is a modern, one bedroom unit in a complex of only five units. It has a large courtyard and single car garage. It's freestanding aside from a connecting wall between the garage and neighbour's garage.

- Pentridge Coburg (cinema, restaurants; 5min drive)

ABOUT PEPPER
Pepper is an almost 7 year old Staffy x Great Dane. She is moderately active and enjoys a long walk or two shorter walks a day, as well as enrichment activities like food puzzles. She otherwise spends most of her time sleeping and loves to lay in the sun. She's crate trained and sleeps in her crate each night.

Pepper is highly food motivated and well trained, though has issues with anxiety. This mostly takes the form of reactivity to other dogs and strangers coming to the house (she warms up quickly to sitters though!). She does not have separation anxiety and can be left alone for a usual work day without issues.

ABOUT YOU
I'm looking for someone who is responsible, clean, and has experience looking after large dogs and managing anxiety / reactivity. Someone who prefers to socialise outside the house would be the best fit, as Pepper does not cope well with frequent visitors (unless they're people she knows).

FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS
I'm open to flexible financial arrangements. Ideally, I'd like someone to pay a small amount in rent / to cover bills (e.g., $100 per week) and a bond given the length of the house sit. That said, my primary focus is finding the right fit for Pepper.
