No, not a farmhouse, but a hobby farm. There was no option for semi- rural. We are on 13000 sqm (just over 3 acres). We are on the Atherton Tablelands, in the mountains behind Cairns. Cooler, more relaxed but still warm and tropical. We have a young dog, a bunch of chooks, a mob of guinea fowl that own us and about 50 acres around us and one old cow paddock-mower. A permanent creek has an elusive platypus and we have been visited by the local cassowary from the adjoining rainforest. We are looking for house-sitters while we are away down south for the 90th birthday of our last remaining aunt. We are 10 mins from local stores, 20 mins from most services and 90 minutes from the international airport.
