About

We are a family living on a little land in Rosemount on the Sunshine Coast. We are seeking a reliable person/couple to look after our pups and keep an eye on our property while we are overseas.

Jackson, Dakota and Whiskey are affectionate little terriers and a chihuahua that like nothing more than a game of fetch and a good scratch and snuggle. They do not have a fear of thunder or fireworks and bond well with new people. You can spend most of your day just laying out by our pool and enjoying our property.

We have a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom home on approximately 1.5acres. There is a pool, deck and gardens to enjoy. Rosemount is centrally located on the coast, near Nambour and Bli Bli.

This house sit is not suitable for families with children under 12 due to Jackson's timidness and minor health issues. This property is also not recommend for anyone with who is uncomfortable with nature as we have a half acre of bush in our backyard which means flying foxes, spiders, birds and the snakes make visits to our land.

Pets & farm animals

We have three small dogs. Dakota is a 15 year old female Pomeranian x Jack Russell Terrier. She can be energetic as you would expect from her breed but she settles pretty quickly and you will find her to be quite independent. Jackson is a 13 year old male Tenterfield Terrier. He is a bit more timid than Dakota and while he loves to be near and enjoys a good scratch, he is not one to be picked up as he has some back issues. Due to a traumatic start to life, we cannot have other dogs or young children he does not know come for the house sit. Jackson requires twice daily medication for his back issues. Our newest edition is a 6 year old chihuahua named whiskey. He is an affectionate lap dog who just wants to be your shadow.

These two spend most of the day outside when we’re out but require a short daily walk around the property/street and some general attention. It is important to have someone at the house in the evenings to ensure they are safe inside and also not barking at any animals in the vicinity. It is also important to ensure doors and gates are closed and secure as little terriers LOVE to sneak out when no one is looking.

House Tasks

Feeding the dogs twice a day,
Providing Jackson with his medication twice a day.
Playing with the dogs, showing them attention and a daily walk around the block.
Sleeping at the house and ensuring the dogs are safely inside at night.

Watering the potted plants nearest to the house as needed.

Collecting mail.
