We hope you will enjoy staying in our beautiful home while we are off to Bali on Thursday May 14 2026, returning on Monday June 1st.

We have a very lovely and comfortable home that is all about soaking up views and enjoying the garden surrounds.

Technically the house is 3 bedrooms but we have it set up as 2 bedrooms, both with queen beds and smart tvs. The 3rd bedroom is a study that could easily be rejigged to suit a small child. There is also an outdoor studio room with pull out double bed that could suit a teenager.

Our home is in the beautiful historic town on Strathalbyn, South Australia. It's about an hour's drive from Adelaide CBD, 45 mins to Burnside, and 15 mins from the wineries of the Adelaide Hills and Langhorne Creek plus its a great county drive of only half an hour to the south coast beaches and Coorong.

Strathalbyn boasts a gorgeous Central Park with river walks, antique shops, cafes and pubs with great food. It is very safe and very quiet apart from the sounds of birdlife.

We have two spoilt cats, four chooks with big personalities and great looks (and don't they know it) and an aquarium with 2 very friendly big, fat, fancy gold fish that need minimal care (just feed us). All mainly need you to care for them lovingly and diligently but this really doesn't take much time - just feed us please, as already stated plus we just need to know there is someone there for us. The cats are allowed in the enclosed and escape-proof backyard but are not allowed out of the property or into the chooks special area (you'll see - they are quite indulged ) They are all used to this arrangement.

There's an irrigation system for both the front and back gardens. The back yard boasts several enjoyable seating areas and not to mention the sunroom which is a dining room and relaxed living area additional to the main lounge and dining area. Kitchen is new with butlers pantry and all mod-cons. There is only one bathroom but sinks area, toilet, shower/bath are all separate and private.

We have a 4 person undercover spa with a great view for relaxation and enough televisions to open a TV shop.

All the TVs connect to multiple streaming channels.

We would prefer a houseminder who can be at home every day, but someone employed relatively locally might be okay.

We know you'll enjoy staying here as much as we do.

House Tasks

Please feed all the animals morning and night. It's a fairly simple routine. Basic house and grounds upkeep. Minimal garden care with irrigation system installed.
