Short term stay in Elwood (house + cat)

We are looking for a kind, reliable animal lover who would like to stay in our cozy Elwood home while my partner and I are overseas between June and September 2026.

It is ideal for a single person, a couple, or two friends who are looking for a private space and love the idea that they will have our cat to keep them company.

Given the length of the period (approx 4 months), we are hoping to find a person who is looking for a place to stay during that time (i.e. is not paying rent elsewhere) and would be happy to contribute for rent and utility bills. The amount will be fair and reasonable, reflective of the fact that it includes taking care of Cosmo.

Our home is located in a quiet, leafy street, and is a fully furnished house with two bedrooms (one functioning as a storage/gym), lounge, art studio space and courtyard.
Walking distance to shops, cafes, buses and the beach.

Cosmo is a 16 y old cat, affectionate and super easy-going. Securing a loving care for him while we’re away is our top priority.

Pets & farm animals

Cosmo is a 16 y old cat, affectionate and super easy-going. Staying mostly indoors, he is happy to hang around the court yard, but does not venture out on the street.
He has a hyper-active thyroid and requires a pill every day, hassle-free and easily given in a piece of minced chicken (all will be prepared by the owner).

House Tasks

General house keeping, some outdoor plants, weekly ‘bin night’.
