Long term Winter House sit in Warburton (May to October, Flexible) - NO PETS

This is a rare low-commitment house sit with no pets to care for, making it perfect for remote workers, writers, creatives, or anyone wanting a quiet base away from the city.

We’re seeking a reliable and responsible house sitter to enjoy an extended stay in our cosy 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom home in the beautiful town of Warburton in the heart of the Yarra Valley, Victoria. Available from May to October, this is a longer-term house sit from May through October, ideal for someone seeking a quiet nature-filled retreat over the winter months. We’re open to discussing shorter stays for the right person, but preference will be given to those available for a longer-term arrangement.

Modern, comfortable and ideally located, our home is walking distance to the Yarra River, the Warburton Rail Trail, mountain bike trails and an easy stroll into town for cafés, shops, and essentials. Enjoy the fresh mountain air and the quiet charm of village life.

We’re particularly interested in a sitter who is reliable, responsible and trustworthy. We’re looking for someone who will treat the home with care and attention, keep the house clean, be attentive to any issues that may arise, and be comfortable communicating with us while we're overseas. Bonus to someone who enjoys some light gardening (pruning vines, basic upkeep). We will have someone coming to mow the lawns monthly.

Overall, this is a straightforward sit suited to someone who values a calm space and takes pride in where they live.

House Tasks

Keep things generally clean, tidy and pest free. Vacuum and dust regularly.
Winter months can be damp and cold outside. While the ducted heating is very good, be attentive to any mold that might develop especially in the bathroom and appliances. Keep rooms dry through ventilation and heating.
Prune vines outside. Notify us of any fallen branches or debris.
Report any issues early (leaks, pests, electrical issues etc.)
Let us know if any mail comes through.
