Dog & House Sitter Wanted – Carrum Downs / Mornington Peninsula

We’re looking for a reliable, caring and mature house sitter (ideally one person) to look after our much-loved home and our friendly 18-month-old male Labrador, Bodhi, from 2 September to 3 October. Guest Room with main bathroom available.

Bodhi is affectionate, energetic and thrives on routine. He loves human company and will need two good walks each day (around 1.5–2 hours total), along with feeding, playtime and plenty of companionship. He’s a lovely, social dog and a great mate to have around, so this sit would suit someone who genuinely enjoys dogs and an active daily routine.

About the home & location:
Our home (4 bedroom) is in a quiet neighbourhood in Carrum Downs, making it a fantastic base to explore the Mornington Peninsula. You’ll be within easy reach of beautiful beaches, coastal walks, parks, cafes, restaurants and wineries, with convenient access to public transport and routes into Melbourne.

About Bodhi:

Male Labrador, 18 months old
2 x meals a day breakfast and dinner
Very friendly and well-socialised (loves the dog park)
Needs 1.5–2 hours of walking daily (2 x walks)
Can be left alone for up to 5–6 hours
Sleeps in his crate at night
Generally good on lead (can pull when excited)
Loves playing fetch (sticks and balls!)
Typical Lab quirks – will chew socks and shoes if left within reach
Once exercised, he’s calm, relaxed and very affectionate

We’re looking for someone who is:

Responsible, tidy and trustworthy
Experienced with dogs (especially larger or energetic breeds)
Able to provide plenty of exercise, attention and care
Happy to provide references

The ideal sitter will enjoy being home a good part of the day and keeping both the house and Bodhi’s routine consistent while we’re away.
