Cozy Home & Loving Dog Sit in Melbourne (Melton) – 3 Sweet Dogs

Hi there!

I’m looking for a caring and responsible housesitter (female preferred) to look after my home and my three beloved dogs while I’m away for about one month in September/October (dates flexible).

This is a home-exchange style arrangement in return for accommodation in a comfortable, fully equipped house located in Melton, a peaceful suburb on the western side of Melbourne.

While Melton is not in the CBD, it offers a relaxed lifestyle with great nearby conveniences and easy access to the city. The train station is just 10 minutes away by car, with direct connections to Melbourne CBD in around 40 minutes. Public transport in Victoria will also be half-price throughout 2026, making city trips very affordable. You’ll also be just 10 minutes from Woodgrove Shopping Centre, a large mall with everything you need (supermarkets, retail, cafés, and more).

*The Home*
You’ll be staying in a spacious and comfortable house with everything you need to feel at home:
-Large master bedroom with a king-size bed
-Private ensuite bathroom
-Projector for movie nights or streaming from bed ??
-Bright room with excellent natural light, 3 windows for ventilation
-Little heater and a fan available for comfort in any season

The house also includes:
-Open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area
-Reclining sofa and smart TV with streaming services
-Fully equipped kitchen: air fryer, rice cooker, sandwich press, oven, and all essentials
-Large fridge and freezer
-Bright, spacious living area

**Please note: there is a bird cage shown in some photos, but the bird will not be at home during your stay.

-Treadmill available for indoor workouts
-Indoor and outdoor clothes drying space (useful for rainy days)
-Laundry machine available
-Large backyard perfect for relaxing or playing with the dogs
-Outdoor clothesline and sunny patio

The backyard is also a great space to spend time with the dogs or simply relax outdoors.

*A Relaxed, Comfortable Stay*
This is a peaceful, easy-going home with affectionate dogs who enjoy companionship but are also comfortable spending time on their own when needed. This means you’ll have plenty of freedom to explore Melbourne and surrounding areas without worry.

Most importantly, I want you to feel at home and enjoy your stay here as much as possible. My dogs are deeply loved, and in return they give a lot of joy, personality, and warmth to anyone who looks after them.

Pets & farm animals

*Meet the Dogs*
You’ll be sharing your time with three very special companions:

-Jameson (13) – calm, gentle, loves his ball and short walks
-Lucy (11) – sweet, affectionate, enjoys company and sniffing around on walks
-Tilly (3) – energetic, playful, loves running, playing with other dogs, and giving kisses ??

They all have different personalities but get along beautifully and keep each other company, so they are comfortable at home while you explore during the day.

*Care routine is simple:
-Feed them twice a day (morning & evening)
-Walk them every day or every other day depending on weather
-Playtime in the backyard or nearby oval (5 min walk, off-leash friendly)
-Optional outings: beach trips, river walks, or lake spots nearby (they love adventures if you have a car!)

They are very well-behaved, responsive to commands, and easy to care for. I’ll go through everything in detail before I leave.

*A small note about them*
-Lucy can sometimes feel a bit anxious around men, likely due to her early life before adoption. She is incredibly sweet once she trusts someone and thrives in calm, patient environments. Because of this, I would ideally prefer a female sitter.
-Tilly is very enthusiastic and playful, so just a gentle reminder to keep an eye on her excitement around kids or smaller people as she might accidentally bump into them while playing. She’s full of love and gives the best kisses!
