Kenthurst is a quiet, rural suburb in North West Sydney, approx 40km from the CBD.
The house is a 5 bedroom, single storey house on 6 acres. It is very private and quiet as we back onto a valley and have no street frontage, access is via a small private lane. The house has an outdoor area with table, BBQ and pool. The house is fitted with air-conditioning for heating and cooling purposes, plus 2 wood fires and will soon have hydro under-floor heating.
The house has secure WiFi.
There are a number of options for shopping - Rouse Hill Town Centre is a large shopping village with Woolworths, Coles, Target, Big W, Reading Cinemas, a large number of restaurants and cafes as well as a variety of other stores. Dural Mall (13km) has Woolworths, Aldi plus a number of other food stores. Castle Hill (approx. 20km away) has a very large shopping complex as well as industrial area covering everything you may require. As this area is very family orientated there are a number of parks within driving distance.
The closest medical centre is located in Rouse Hill Town Centre (open every day, 7am - 10pm) and the closest hospital is Norwest Private, approx. 20 mins away. The hospital does have an emergency department unlike some private hospitals.
Public transport is very limited so you must have a car.
Pets & farm animals
We have 3 dogs - Quattro, an Australian Shepherd (10yo), Bella, a Kelpie (4yo) and Penny, a Border Collie (2yo). All are extremely friendly but Penny is reactive to small animals as she has a very strong chase instinct. We also have 14 beautiful heritage breed chickens - Applejack, Rarity, Marmalade, Betty, Beryl, Pearl, Hazel, Dorothy, Marilyn, Rosie, Violet, Henrietta, Daisy and Flo.
House Tasks
I work from home so our dogs are used to having someone here most of the time (daily coming and going to and from work is fine) which is why I prefer to have a sitter with them at night and weekends rather than someone come and simply feed them once or twice a day.
If the post could be cleared from the post box at the front of the house. We don't get much as most of it directed to a PO Box.
The dates above are approximate as we are looking for someone we can trust for ongoing stays.
