We have a 100 acre property on the hills in the Lockyer Valley only 1 Hr from Brisbane, 35 mins to Ipswich and 50 minuted to Toowoomba. We have 1 blue cattle dog and will have a few cows in the next few weeks. Preferably, you will have your own caravan (but not essential) as the house will hopefully being renovated. You can park your caravan in the top yard and/ or use our off-grid weekender cottage with basic rustic facilities. There is a fridge, old wood burning stove and a portable gas cooktop, sink, cooking equipment etc ( shower, toilet and washing machine in little room next to the cottage).
We are 250 m above sea level and have magnificent views to D'aguilar Range and Cunningham's Gap. Main shopping is at Plainland with Woolies and a new Bunnings .
Pets & farm animals
Frida, a blue cattle dog/ puppy, will be 7 months old end of July and is an intelligent and a loving animal. If we go down to the shops, at this stage we tie her up at home. She is very angry and naughty if she is left all day ( don't blame her, only did this once). She likes going for walks, jumping in the dams and car rides.
We have some belted Galloway cows ordered from a breeder and not sure when we get them- hopefully soon. Probably an advantage if you have had some dealings with cows.
Three chooks are down near the house and get let out late afternoon for an hour or so and then locked back in on sunset.
House Tasks
Dates are approximate as the present time as my hubby Wayne is going down to work at the Sydney International Boat Show ( 29 July - Aug 2)
You will be required to mainly be a presence here, look after the dog, get the chook's eggs ( please use these) fill up their feed and water , maybe a bit of watering down at the house, and to check on the cows. You can park your caravan in the top yard and use off grid cottage facilities ( shower, toilet and washing machine little room next to the cottage).
