Hi! We are looking for a quiet, animal loving person/couple who like the peace and quiet to care for and love our animals for 6 days/nights on a small green acreage. We're on a fully fenced and electric gated, property with a forest outlook (so lots of birds, kangaroos and lovely bush walks but also close to the town centre) to care for our beloved dog for the first time we've been away and will require lots of love and daily walks. Also coup of chickens will require feed & watered daily and fling some food into the Koi pond once a day. Thank you :)
Pets & farm animals
DOG: Our dog is a young Golden Retriever coming up to the age of 2. She will require walking every day (she never says no to two walks a day!).
CHICKENS: Are in a large fully enclosed coup (with secure wire top as we have lots of foxes and birds of prey). Each morning they will require daily feed mix put out in trays (from the feed bins in the coup) and daily greens, as well as checking on water levels and filling. In addition we have a Koi pond at the front and you'll need to throw a scoop of food in once a day. Also important.....there are various bird baths and water trays up at the house that must be filled every day for the local native birds who live on site or come in for water.
We are a middle aged couple looking for a quiet person/couple (no children allowed though please as our property has hazardous water for children (a deep, unfenced dam close to the house, as well as a koi fish pond directly outside the front door that poses huge risk). Our property is 3 acres, it's mostly open spaces of green lawn and huge gum trees along each boundary with lots of native plants for the local birds. It is very quiet but for the noise of resident and local birds (particularly the Black Cockatoos). You can sit on the back deck and enjoy watching the honey eaters and other little resident birds right up close at the water trays. There also will be flocks of noisy Black Cockatoo. There likely will be wild kangaroo (usually a herd of boys who jump the fences) on the property during your stay at that time of year. They come in to eat our grass and get water from the trough....we do not feed them or go close to them (they are not aggressive but they are wild animals) but they are lovely to watch. There are no tasks or jobs you need to do while we are away..... just love and look after our lovely girl and probably supply cuddles so she doesn't miss us too much. You can enjoy the eggs from the hens (you'll never want a shop one again!). Our property is fully fenced and has electric gates so no-one can just drive in....and all of our neighbours will know we're away and that you are property/pet sitting.
