Lockyer Valley Qld - We are planning a trip from Sunday 10 October 2021 to Sunday 17 October 2021 and we require a sitter for our 1.5 acre rural residential property situated at Regency Downs. We have a low set brick home with one energetic *2 year old house cat and an aviary of birds. We also have many trees, pot plants and some gardens.

There is a small Woollies shopping centre 2 km from the house, a Bunnings and a service station/eateries complex, doctor's surgeries medical services and dentists. We are about 8 km from Laidley and 17 km from Gatton the business hub of the area with banks, hospital etc.

We would prefer a couple with knowledge and experience of managing this type of property. The house uses mainly tank water but has access to trickle feed (very slow) town water which can be pumped in from the street. The tank water comes into the house via an electric pump. We have a septic toilet system.

Animals:
*Duchess the lovely ginger & white female cat is a rescue cat and although we have had her since she was 6 months old can tend to be a bit skittish at times with strangers, loud noises etc.
She is a house cat because she has no country sense having spent her formative life in a high rise at Kangaroo Point in Brisbane.
It is much safer to exercise her daily with a harness and leash.
Duchess is a climber and climbs everything….the higher the better.

House and garden:
Requirements would be to look after the house keeping it clean and tidy, watering our potted and hanging plants near the house regularly with large plastic watering can. Other potted plants near the aviary can be hosed.
There are some trees down the back on a drip watering system to which a hose from the back tap is connected when they look a bit stressed.
Other trees down the back not on the drip feed watering system are bottle watered via a spike using water from the 1000 litre drums near the shed.
The other gardens need to get some hand watering on a selected need.

Additional:
• bring in local paper/s and any flyers that land in the mail box;
• collect mail and put aside for our return;
