We live 15 minutes from Bairnsdale on small property of 40 acres. The house is a 100 year old house in excellent condition with a wood fireplace, ceiling fans and a beautiful outside patio with a fantastic view. A very comfortable spare bedroom is available. The kitchen is fully equipped with an outside BBQ available. Nearby coast is Lakes Entrance and many beautiful coastal towns including Paynesville, Metung and Raymond Island. Excellent fishing is available at the ocean and nearby rivers. The snow fields including Mt Hotham and Dinner Plain are aprox 2 hours away.

I have 16 alpacas which will appreciate being fed twice a week with supplementary feed, a small fish pond which will need feeding once a day, 3 cockatiels which will need their water topped up and seed replenished as required, 3 chickens live in the chicken coop and lay lots of eggs which will need to be collected and eaten and they will need to be fed chicken food when required and 1 small dog and 1 small indoor cat which will appreciate their food bowls being kept fairly full and love pats and attention. The vegetable garden will probably need watering if there is no rain and the house yard may need to be mowed if it gets too long. We have a very good lawnmower to make it as easy as possible.

There are many beautiful day trips nearby to see the fantastic country around here. Definitely no smokers as this is a non smoking house.

This is a house sit which would suit a person who likes the peace, quiet and beauty of the country looking for a place to stay rent free in exchange for looking after my house, pets and property. Basically the property would not need a lot of care and the pets are very easy going and friendly. You would need your own transport as the town is too far to walk too, but is a quick and easy drive.
