Hello!

I am in a bit of a unique situation so wanting to put the feelers out to gauge interest in a pet sitter for my 2 cats and apartment in Richmond.

I am currently interstate and have a sitter in my place until the end of October. She has committed to another sit from November onwards, however, this may not proceed as it is dependent on people being able to travel overseas. My situation has changed since I left and I am unable to return home at the end of October as planned, as I am caring for an unwell family member.

My current Sitter will be able to confirm on/or around 23 October if she is able to stay longer – and being completely transparent, this is my preferred option (for obvious reasons). In the event that she cannot remain, I would be looking for someone to take over from approx. 1 November (date can be flexible for the right person). My return date is not locked in as I have many factors to consider, but ideally I would be looking for someone who can commit to a minimum 3-4 weeks. I would also consider someone looking for a longer sit, as I can be flexible on returning.

Details of my place are listed below:-

I have a 1 bedroom plus study/second bed apartment in Richmond, just off Church street. It also has a large balcony with city views. Approx 10 minute walk to East Richmond station and Swan Street and 5 minute walk to Chapel Street. Approx 15 minute walk to the Tan/Botanical Gardens.

I have 2 cats that are very affectionate so will be looking for lots of cuddles. They are fed morning and night, however, this can be flexible and work around your plans. Otherwise they are low maintenance and you only need to be mindful of leaving them unattended on the balcony as there are birds that like to come and tease them!
There are also a few plants that need to be watered weekly.

The bedroom does not have a door on it, and the second room is also open, so something to consider for couples if you are both trying to work from home. Also, when the balcony doors are open, the road noise can be quite loud, and will make zoom calls etc a little more difficult to hear. However, I have worked for 12 months from there and there are no issues with the balcony doors closed.

I would usually prefer to meet in person first but that will not be possible, however, would arrange to chat on the phone and have a friend meet you at the apartment to show you around etc.
I would require to see police checks/references and copies of IDs prior to confirming the sit.
