My family and I are finally booked to see the in-laws in the UK next year, travelling for a full month. We need someone to be home to look after Crumble, our 40kg Labrador.
The house is small and simple, with a big fenced back yard. We have a fully equipped office so working from home while you are here is definitely an option (actually preferred as Crumble is used to someone being home with him).
During your stay we would ask that Crumble is walked at least once a day. He usually goes out twice a day but this would be at your discretion. He is currently walked for about an hour in the morning. He then sleeps literally all day. He is getting older so the afternoon walk is usually no more than 25/30 mins.
There are loads of places to take him walking in the area however he is quite strong and selectively reactive and has poor recall.
He is, however, the most loving dog in the universe, I can't guarantee he will be perfect on your walks, but I can guarantee he will be your best friend while you are here.
If the right person isn't able to walk him but is willing to stay in the house with him we have the option of finding a separate dog walker.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Pets & farm animals
Crumble is a 4 year old yellow Labrador. We rescued him in 2018.
Unfortunately we have no information about his past life and he can sometimes show signs of anxiety. His recall is a work in progress.
He is a big boy and can be strong on the lead but is getting better and better.
He is a big brother to twin girls who he loves very much.
In all honestly, as long as he is walked morning and evening he will spend the rest of the day sleeping, farting and playing with his toys outside.
He has a LOT of love to give.
