Pets & farm animals

We have two dogs, a 2 year old Cavoodle and a 5 year old Westiepoo (West Highland Terrier crossed with a poodle) and they are great friends. We have ovals opposite our home and the river just down the road in which to walk the dogs. We also have a 2 year old ragdoll cat, which needs minimum care and is very gentle apart from 'rough housing' with the dogs at play time, as he thinks he is one of them. The dogs sleep in the main bedroom with us, which we would prefer them to continue to do, and the large second bedroom with ensuite and built in robes would be for the use of the house sitter. This arrangement will ensure the animals' routine is not disrupted and make it very easy for the house sitter to spend time away from the house as the dogs know to go to their room and will remain there without any fuss for evenings out or longer periods during the day. We normally give them the run of the house if we are away for the day. We have tiled floors so should there be the rare accident it is very easy to clean up after them. The dogs generally get one walk a day but will not be upset if they miss out. The animals are fed in the mornings but have learnt to wait for their meal until we are ready to give it to them. The cat is given a morning and an evening tin of food, and there is dry food available for all the animals throughout the day.

House Tasks

Tasks: Collect mail and hand water pot plants that are undercover. A lawn mowing contractor will be employed to cut the verge and backyard lawns, and a pool contractor will monitor the pool. We would ask House Sitter to keep the pool as clear of leaves as possible, preferably on a daily basis, and empty the catchment basket.
