We are looking for someone (or a couple) with experience looking after anxious dogs to look after our rescue Kelpie cross - Pepper - whilst we are away in Europe from the 22 June to 9 August 2022. You would be staying in our house in Kogarah (2217). We are located 15 min walk to the beach (Monterey) and 15 min walk to the train station in Carlton. Our street has unlimited street parking as well if you drive. This will be our first time away since Covid and Pepper has been used to having us around all the time since we have been working from home a lot! So ideally we would love to find someone who will be home quite a bit... Pepper is a rescue dog and has always been the anxious type. We walk him twice a day on the lead as he is not very good around other dogs... He loves his humans though and will always thank you with cuddles and kisses for everything you do for him!!
Our home has a pool (although it might be a bit cool that time of year!) And a low maintenance backyard. We are in a cul de sac so very quiet. The house is really well equipped with a large kitchen and dining area. Laundry has lots of drying space or a drier.

You will need to be trustworthy, organised clean and tidy. You will need to be confident around large dogs and fairly active to keep up with Pepper!! (Because we don't let him of the lead we need to walk with him rather than just letting him exercise off leash in a park!)

Unfortunately Pepper isn't great sharing his home with other dog so we are looking for a pet sitter who doesn't already have their own pet.

References will be required from previous house/dog owners. We have had dog and house sitters in the past as well who will happily provide references for us and for Pepper :)

Pets & farm animals

Our rescue Kelpie cross is very anxious and needs to be walked twice a day. He likes routine and having a human nearby for belly scratches and cuddles in front of TV!!

House Tasks

Collect mail, keep our home clean, mow the lawn and water the plants (if the rain ever stops!), keep the pool clean if it is being used.
