Renovated 3-bedroom California bungalow perfectly located in West Footscray (2 minute walk to IGA and cafes/restaurants along Barkly St; 9 minute walk to train station). We are looking for a dog-loving person or couple to stay with our beautifully natured but rather anxious 13yo german shorthaired pointer Penny while we are visiting family overseas. We need someone who:

- Mostly works from home or is home a lot. Penny is an inside dog and cannot be left outdoors when no one is home due to separation anxiety (she is a rescue). She’s okay being left inside on her own for up to 8 hours during the day once or twice a week; on those occasions we have a wonderful dog walking service we have been clients of for years come to take her out for a couple hours (and would continue doing so during your stay to help maintain her routine). Penny is fine being left alone inside for shorter periods as well, but is the kind of dog that really needs someone around a fair bit, or who is willing to take her out with them when possible.

- Understands the needs of anxious older pets- Penny is in wonderful physical condition but as she ages she has sometimes taken to pacing the house at night. We need someone who can be patient with this behaviour if it does occur.
