About

We are looking for a responsible single person or couple who work from home to stay in our apartment to care for our dog Norbert. He is a 1 year old mini dachshund who is very sweet and affectionate but does suffer a little seperation anxiety so can't be left home alone for long periods. We would ideally love someone who is a homebody and happy to stay home most of the time. Obviously not all the time, but unfortunately if you have to go to work every day this would not be suitable.

If you love dogs and are looking for a break in one of the most beautiful towns, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Pets & farm animals

Norbert, or Norbie for short, is a 1 year old mini dachshund. He is a very affectionate and loving boy but he has a little seperation anxeity. He likes to play fetch and tug of war and snuggle on the couch with you. A daily walk with Norbert would also be ideal. He is very well trained including house-trained. He has a small grass patch on the balcony that he uses to although you still need to pick up the nuggets and flush them. He is also crate trained however is happy to sleep in the bed with you. He makes a great hot water bottle!<br /><br />My parents also live locally and are on stand-by to take him for long periods of time if needed. We also work with the local dog trainers who take him weekly for a "doggy day out". He's not a big fan of strange dogs, especially bigger dogs that bark at him so he doesn't enjoy going to the dog park unfortunately. He might be a little reserved when he first meets you, but once he realises you're a friend he'll be your best friend for life!
