We are a semi-retired professional couple who will be travelling for a working holiday. We now have a sitter who has has sat for us before, and will be here for most of the holiday but still need someone to cover the first 2 weeks then hand over to them at the end of this time.
We have a large 5 bedroom home on small acreage on the edge of Orange. Orange is a regional centre surrounded by rich agricultural land. At 900 metres above sea level, at this time of year the weather is cool and crisp, with frequent frosty mornings- there may even be snow! Our house is well heated, and you will have access to Wi-Fi internet. You will sleep in our guest room, which has its own en-suite bathroom, and also expansive views across the countryside. We have a well equipped kitchen, so you will be able to do as much cooking as you wish.
There are many wineries and good restaurants in the town, with plenty of arts and sporting activities. You will need to have your own car.

Our housesit is suitable for couples or families with 1-2 young children.
Responsibilities for the Housesitters include caring for our elderly West Highland Terrier, Fergus. This will include short walks every couple of days. He loves going on outings the car.

We have one hen, Speckles, who will need to be fed and given fresh water, let out during the day and locked in her pen at night. Her coop will require periodic cleaning.

We have three alpacas: two pregnant females, one who also has a young cria. They will require extra feeding supplements every 2-3 days, also ensuring they have access to fresh water.

We have a few house plants which will require watering every few days.
Outside gardening is minimal during winter, however when the weather starts to warm up the grass will grow and will need mowing once or twice before we return but probably not for the July period.

We would expect you to keep our home clean and tidy.

This is a non smoking household, and we would also prefer Housesitters to have been fully vaccinated against Covid 19.
