We live in Rosewood Queensland. A country town on the doorstep of the beautiful Lockyer Valley. (You will need a car). The closest provincial city is Ipswich being 25 minutes away. Surfers Paradise beach and the Gold Coast is 90 minutes by car and Brisbane City CBD is 50 minutes. So we are quite central to most of the popular destinations including Dreamworld, Movie World and Seaworld.Our house is on a 1/4 acre and is renovated and comfortable. We have three bedrooms (only two are currently used as bedrooms right now), lounge with a giant flat screen TV), dining room, sunroom, kitchen, bathroom, laundry and outdoor seating/dining with a BBQ. The main reason for this ad is to find a carer for our elderly and much loved dog Keiko. She is in great health and quite mobile. I am looking for a person or a couple who love dogs, like staying home with her and do not go out at night much or too late. She has never been left at home overnight alone (especially in the dark) so if you cannot do this, please do not apply. Many thanks.
Pets & farm animals
Keiko is a 13 year old dog (Pug/Jack Russell) who needs love and company 24/7. Loves walks. Special diet of fresh meat and dog biscuits, not too many treats. Sleeps in our bedroom. Our home is comfortable and the wild birds get some grain daily (as a treat only, we don’t really feed them). Meat eating birds are given dry cat food daily. Again only as a treat.
House Tasks
Feed Keiko twice per day. Fresh water daily. Water the garden plants and outside pot plants daily. Replenish the bird baths with water daily. Water the indoor plants every second day (careful not to over-water) Walk Keiko daily in the cooler hours (take a water bottle, she can drink out of it). Bins out each Tuesday night (red always, alternate yellow and green). Take in any mail.
