Hi, my name is Aislinn and I'm looking for a sitter to look after my unit and 8 year old female cat, Dulcie, while I am away traveling in the USA and UK over Christmas and New Years.

I live in a charming 1BR unit, right on the border between Brunswick and Coburg. The unit is located within walking distance of lots of public transport, making it super convenient to get around. It's a three minute walk to the #6 tram, which will take you into the city in about 25 minutes. Ten minutes walk in the opposite direction will get you to Sydney Rd and the #19 tram. A little further and you can easily reach the Moreland Station on the Upfield line. You are also within walking distance of many of Brunswick's fun bars, restaurants and cafes. I love this lively neighbourhood - which is filled with interesting things to see, do and eat - and will happily share recommendations for my favourite spots!

The unit is one of twelve, and I have lived here for about two years. The neighbours are friendly and well accustomed to seeing Dulcie climbing over the rooves and/or me out calling her. The unit is well appointed, with a dishwasher, AC and small courtyard. The space is cosy and comfortable, with lots of house plants and a fun, colourful style.

My cat, Dulcie (pronounced Dull-sey), is an 8 yr old shorthair tabby. She is an incredibly chatty, affectionate and engaged pet, and loves any attention you give her. I adopted her about five years ago, and she has brought me a lot of joy. She is indoor/outdoor during the daytime (she comes and goes as she pleases) but is kept in overnight. Like all cats, she can be a bit of a brat when she's bored or cranky, but if you are willing to give her lots of love and attention and a lap to curl up on she is a total sweetheart.

I'd like to have someone stay in the flat for the duration of my trip, who can be relied upon to look after Dulcie and my plants. Ideally you'll be someone who works a few days from home, or doesn't have a very busy night life - Dulcie can get a bit stir crazy if she doesn't get enough human time!

Other than looking after Dulcie, I would like you to check mail, keep an eye on the plants and leave the house clean and tidy for my return.

Dulcie is territorial, and cannot share the space with another pet, I'm afraid. I think this arrangement will best suit just one person, as the unit is a little small for two - although I don't mind at all if you have a trusted friend/partner sleepover every so often. Worth mentioning, this is a queer friendly space. I would prefer to meet the sitter ahead of time, so please be in touch if you think this sit might suit you.
