We will be travelling overseas during the above dates and would like to find a dog friendly sitter/s to mind our ageing female, stumpy tailed Australian Cattle Dog, who we think is somewhere between 13 - 15 years old and is called Jen. She came from a shelter and we have had her for 11 years. She likes her ball and requires a bit of running at the off-lead park. Although she is slowing down a bit now. She normally goes at around 4 pm, but this can be a bit flexible. The park is about 4 kms away, so you will definitely need a car (contribution to petrol provided). As is common with these dogs, she is going deaf, so we now sometimes take her to a different fenced in park. She also loves the beach sometimes if that is your thing. She is good in a car and very happy to go for drives. The house is located in a quiet residential area and is a typical red brick with 2 bedrooms, study, lounge and separate dining room and a big sun room off the kitchen and decking out the back. Central heating and air conditioning with polished wooden floors. Off street parking, but no garage. The lawn would probably need mowing once or twice while we are away as it is the peak growing season and possibly watering some pot plant. No other gardening is required. Just looking after the dog and normal housekeeping duties. Some one who is able to be at home a fair bit would probably be best.It is 3 kms to Oakleigh station/shopping centre where there are heaps of Greek cafes - a great atmosphere and large Coles and Woollies supermarkets. There is also a big Woollies within walking distance of the house and a choice of several bus routes within easy walking distance. Please feel free to ask for more information.Mary and Trevor
