Hi, we have an older dog, obedience trained, a working Cattle Dog, Maisy. I am an instructor at the local dog training club and use positive reinforcement-only training with our animals. Maisy needs a small walk (no more than 2 ks) most days, typically weekdays; the cattle dog Maisy suffers from anxiety about other dogs and requires daily medication (which she is used to and does not fuss about). She is on nightly arthritis medication. I will leave detailed instructions for medication.
She loves people and likes to be with you when you are home. She is a house dog and can access the house all day and night. Four chickens are in a run at the end of the yard and require very little apart from checking food and water and cleaning out the sleeping area once a week. There is a vegetable garden and other plants that require watering, you can harvest any vegetables that are ripe and use them. We have a single-story new house on a sloping block with an outdoor entertaining area. Off-street parking is available, and the house is close to public transport, beaches, and town, with a small convenience store around the corner.
