Hello Everyone. My name is Lauren and I am on the lookout for a house and pet sitter over the Christmas period for 2024. I will be travelling to the UK to see my parents and brothers and have a beautiful 7yo Belgian Shepherd named Grace who requires a buddy while I am away. She is a very playful, kind and fluffy little girl. She enjoys anything to do with ropes, balls, stuffed toys, treats and water. She loves to go on adventures and sniff all that she can. On her down days, she's very happy to lay on the couch and have belly scratches or just snooze.
About me - I am a current serving member of Army having served for 11 years. I am single, 34 years old. I have recently moved from Brisbane for work and spend my weekends with Grace being a tourist around Townsville. I have a house in Harris Crossing, Bohle Plains in a small quiet street. It's safe, secure and has a double lock up garage. I have a good sized yard, BBQ, outdoor table and beer fridge. The house is modern having only been built 5 years ago. I understand Christmas is a very buy time of year and people like to spend it with family and friends but unfortunately, mine reside in the UK and Grace won't fit in my suitcase.
My aunt and uncle have been house sitters for many years now so I am well versed in this process. Grace is the most precious thing to me in the whole world and I hate having to leave her behind. Pets & farm animals
Grace - 7 yo Belgian Shepherd. I walk her in the morning on Tues/Thurs as I start work late then just the park in the afternoon for 20 minutes or until she tells me its time to go home. She enjoys swimming in the clam at home, playing tug-o-war, chasing the ball or just resting. She sleeps inside and is never left outside overnight. She is outside during the day unless it is hot then she's inside. She is weird with food around new people. She may not eat for a couple of days until she gets used to you, so don't worry. Chicken Breast treats, Doggy ice cream in a cone, raw beef mince and anything I eat are her favourites.
House Tasks
Lawn will need to be mowed weekly as it grows faster than I can keep up with. all equipment is in the garden shed. You may need to vac daily if she is shedding her coat. It's a nightmare but I'm hoping it won't be so bad at Christmas. I receive little mail so that's not a drama
