Perfect place for an artists retreat, meditation retreat or just to relax & unwind. Peaceful & neat cottage with spectacular views in beautiful rural setting in Kangaroo Ground.

Cottage is east-facing & gets beautiful sunrises. Has a wood-fire heater for cosy winter vibes & a bathtub for luxuriating. Friendly alpaca neighbours & plenty of kangaroos. Very respectful, friendly yet private landlady lives 100m up the drive, so particularly looking for someone who will do honour to this relationship by being extremely respectful of the surrounding property & neighbourhood. Above all, a peaceful occupant of the cottage & a responsible feline supervisor (particularly when Calypso has outdoor time).

Pets & farm animals

Calypso loves company. Very easy-going. At 3yrs old, she's still easily enticed to play but quite the lounger otherwise - spending most of her time looking out a window or curled up in front of the fire. She is an indoor cat, however I’ve lately been allowing her short supervised excursions around the cottage & she loves to be outside with me whenever I’m pottering about in the vegie garden or collecting kindling. She doesn’t run off, is more or less tree-savvy, and generally comes promptly back inside when called. To prevent her murdering lizards, birds etc, I kindly request that she be supervised at all times when outside & doors latched securely when inside, so that she cannot let herself out unaccompanied.<br /><br />Feeding is simple; just dry bits & fresh water.<br /><br />Regular poop-scooping of litter tray also required - although she does also enjoy doing her business outside if it’s not raining - handy!<br /><br />*Special Note* If you’re willing & able, there’s the opportunity to occasionally help feed & rug/de-rug three horses that are a 5min drive/30min walk away. Experience preferred, as they can be a handful at feeding time, but this is by no means a task necessary to the house sit, as there are two other people attending to their needs. It is however an opportunity if it would bring you joy & you know how to stay safe around potentially high-energy horses. Please let me know if this is something you’d be open to when you reach out. House Tasks

No mail, bins or lawn to worry about. Occasional drop of water given to houseplants - but they won’t need much through winter.
