About

We live in a modern 16 year old home with three bedrooms and a second story mezzanine. It is a beautiful light filled home surrounded by half an acre of lawn and garden. We live less that a ten minute stroll to the quiet, uncrowded Somers beach, and 5 minutes walk from the Coolart Historic Homestead and wetlands. We have unlimited WiFi access and Netflix.
We have a 7 year old Groodle dog called Mali, all she needs is a daily walk and someone to feed her and she will love you forever. She is very easy to look after as previous house sitters have told us. She sleeps outside and doesn't bark all day so she will not ruin your peaceful holiday.
We are looking for a retired couple who enjoy gardening and love dogs. We have a ride on mower but as the housesit is less than 3 weeks we do not envisage that there will be much to do in the way of garden maintenance.

Pets & farm animals

Our dog is very docile and friendly, great around children and adults. She is across between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle so has the nature of a golden and the non shedding poodle coat. She sleeps outside at night and is an inside/outside dog during the day. We usually walk her for up to an hour a day and she loves a swim on the beach during the summer. We would prefer a retired couple as Mali is used to having people around.

House Tasks

We would prefer a sitter who is confident in using a ride on mower as we have a reasonably large garden. It usually takes about 45 mins to mow the front and back with the ride on and about 30 minutes to finish it off with the hand mower around the edges.
