Unfortunately, we had arranged a housesitter who cancelled at the last minute for health reasons, so we are under pressure to find a person who is happy to stay with us at short notice!
We live in a lovely house two mins from the local shops. We have a Cavoodle and a Birman cat that are both placid and easy to look after. Our dog sleeps in our bedroom and loves being with us. Our cat jumps on my lap whenever I sit down. All amenities are very close by, and the freeway is very close as well. We have friendly and helpful neighbours.

Pets & farm animals

Marley - 8 year old Cavoodle. Loves to be with you. Loves walks but doesn’t need much exercise. He is happy to have human company. He’s very bonded with my husband in particular, who works from home, and is extremely well-behaved, except he does want to meet any dog he passes on walks, and will bark (only if a dog passes in front of our house), He adores going in the car. He sleeps in his bed next to our bed, but loves just being on our bed with us when we are awake.<br />Jamal is a Birman cat of 10 years old. He is very placid, and loves to sit on my lap. He likes to sleep in my arms on cold nights, if I let him! <br />Both animals use a doggy door to go outside, although Jamal prefers you let him back inside when he’s ready!

House Tasks

Collect mail, take out bins on Monday nights if necessary. There isn’t much to do in the garden in winter. Clean out the cat litter bin every Monday.<br />The house will need a sweep and a vacuum as you would need to do in your own house. <br />Obviously feeding the animals!<br /><br />I should say that our living area is very large and comfortable. We have a butlers pantry and dishwasher, although we do wash by hand because there is only two of us. The only task you would have is to take Marley on a few walks, and empty the cats litter tray once.
