Hi , are you person (or couple) who genuinely loves CATS - especially Burmese ? WHY ? We have two 4 year old red Burmese " boys "who must stay home while we go on a trip with our caravan for 6 weeks & 3 days ( Exact Return date might be flexible, if necessary). They are INDOOR cats,ONLY, with an enclosed outdoor playground. They're allowed to play and snooze wherever they like around the house by day, but have a special "sleeping room" where we keep them overnight (..with access to their Outdoor Enclosure & Litter trays)
.WE live in a comfortable low-set timber 1950's home with a Guest room available. (The master bedroom will only be available for the cats ! ) We have a well-equipped and well-organized kitchen, and a lovely renovated bathroom ( done in March 2022). The third "bedroom" is my home office & sewing room , etc. My husband's Office will be available for use, if needed, also with Internet....
Our home features a private courtyard/patio area with a small electric BBQ set up. Great for leisurely meals., afternoon drinks etc.
The house has been re-painted inside in the last 3 years or so, and in late 2022 it received new carpets in the bedrooms, and the hardwood floors in the hall, lounge, dining rooms were sanded & polished. . Under the patio roof is a clothes line and there's and a hills hoist in the backyard for drying sheets, towels, etc.
Our home is within about 750 m of the Woolworths shopping centre and the local shops,. The Railway station is just a few metres further, and we also have a City Council bus stop nearby. There are several parks in the area, some nice quiet walks to do, and two golf courses in nearby suburbs. It's about a 12 minute drive to the sea at Sandgate and only a few more minutes drive to Redcliffe peninsula, and the sparkling waters of Moreton Bay.
Pets & farm animals
We have 2 young red Burmese cats, Leo and Benny. They are very active, inquisitive, playful, and very curious about ANY open door or drawer ,( Yes, true ! ) also cardboard boxes and bags. They are each companionable ,in their own ways,and both enjoy inter-active games. They can run like the wind in their Chasey games ( Zoomies) !!!. Our younger boy also loves playing Fetch. They are sweet-natured cats, not at all destructive, but can get into Mischief, as they jump, hop and climb- into odd places !!!!!
They are fed twice a day, and I check their litter trays every afternoon , removing any smelly bits etc.
House Tasks
In addition to giving our cats attention and care, could you please collect our mail while we're away. and water the courtyard pot plants? . It's a lovely home, which will be clean & tidy when you come,.. Routine housecleaning will be needed, especially in our newly renovated bathroom. It is important that the house looks as if it is being " Lived" in while we're away - especially as we're nearly always home at night.
