Our favourite housesitters can only stay the first month of our travels, and will stay a night with you to 'show you the ropes' before they head off on 29 September..
We live on a one hectare property, beautifully treed, and with a huge swimming pool. Our location is only 20 minutes to Brisbane city; 20 minutes to Brisbane airport, and perhaps 5 minutes drive to connect to the freeway north and south.
We would ask our house sitters to tend to the daily pool routine (throwing the robot in every other day/cleaning the filter and scooping leaves when necessary); watering the vege patch (and helping yourself to whatever is growing in there), and flower beds normally on a daily basis.
Mowing the lawns, mostly with the zero-turn ride on mower if and when they need mowing. Normally not too often at that time of the year. All petrol for the mowers will be provided, or reimbursed to you if need be.
Checking the mail and putting out trash cans on set days
Otherwise, we hope you'd enjoy our home as much as we do..
Preferably we would like a retired couple with no pets of their own.
Absolutely NON-smokers.
Our house keeper will still clean every other Monday for 3 hours, so we would just hope you're neat and tidy anyway, and Annie would just do her normal routine.
We may have some of my regular guests stay at my Bed and Breakfast. But other than me letting you know that someone MAY be arriving, there is nothing you need to do. Once again, our friend Annie would take care of anything there. It has separate access to the family home, so you won't be put out a all.
