Hi, we are looking for a house sitter while we are away for a week in September (23rd to 27th). The house is 4 bedrooms with two bathrooms and open plan kitchen living area. There is 4G mobile reception, fast wifi internet throughout the home and it is fully secure and air conditioned. It is on ground with a small set of stairs to the front entrance. The hot water and stovetop run on gas and we are also on tank water so the water tastes great but usage needs to be monitored. We are located in Farnborough and the house is on acreage. No yard maintenance is required, and the driveway is firm and all weather. I have some potted plants on the deck that may need a watering once. We have three dogs (one border collie, two small terriers cross), that will just need feeding and water and letting out in the morning. They are house dogs and sleep inside at night. We also have a horse that just needs his water checked and filled. There is also a bantam chicken who sleeps up on the front deck and who likes to sneak into the house sometimes. Other than that it's very quite and located in a beautiful part of the coast. The Farnborough Store is just down the road for quick supplies, otherwise Yeppoon is a 6 minute drive away. We are seeking someone who is quiet and good with animals. Caravans are ok and there is plenty of room around the house. Note; the little dogs can be a bit yappy, especially with strangers (they were rescue dogs), but they settle down quickly. Our border collie is affectionate and friendly but can be exuberant with new people. He loves new people :) . We have a wifi camera on the front deck pointed toward the horses yard so we can monitor him during the day, and a wildlife camera on the gate pointed towards the house which captures movement. If you are interested please contact us prior to the dates so that we can arrange a time for you to come to our house and meet us and the animals, and we can discuss the routine with you. Police check would be preferred as well.
