Looking for a mid December 2024 house-sitter for three quiet pets: a 12yo Maltese cross dog, an 11yo (large) ginger cat and a shy 4yo tortoiseshell cat. All three are placid, well behaved couch potatoes.
The dog needs a couple of short walks per day (around the block is enough) and the cats will be only too willing to tell you when they need to be fed. There's no garden to worry about, but a couple of houseplants that would like a drink now and again.
The house is a comfortable two storey townhouse in a secure, gated community in Maribyrnong, in the inner north west of Melbourne and one block away from Highpoint shopping centre (supermarkets, shops, cinemas, restaurants). Air conditioned and heated, the house has a north-facing deck and all the usual appliances. The lock up garage will be available for a small to medium sized car, and there is plenty of offstreet parking.
There's a small supermarket and pharmacy underneath the secure, gated building, and the tram stop 100 metres away will take you to either Footscray (restaurants, cafes etc) or Moonee Ponds (boutique cinema, more restaurants and cafes) - both are about ten minutes away. A city tram is only 400m from the door.
